Glenn Yovino, DVM

Dr. Yovino spent his high school and college years working in veterinary hospitals, knowing early on that he wanted to be a Veterinarian. He attended the University of New Hampshire and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science and then went on to receive a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from The Ohio State University in 1988. Dr. Yovino purchased Harbor Road Veterinary Hospital in the fall of 1995 after working for several years in midcoast Maine. Professional interests of Dr. Yovino include orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, dentistry and reproduction

Dr. Yovino has worked closely over the years with the Pope Memorial Humane Society and is a committed advocate of their mission. He also serves on the board of a non-profit organization, GeoVeterinary International. GeoVets mission is to provide veterinary education and clinical services in developing countries. Dr. Yovino has participated in numerous GeoVet clinics in the countries of Peru, Cambodia, and the Dominican Republic to teach local veterinarians surgical skills. 

Dr. Yovino and his wife, Bethany have lived in the area since 1990. They have had the pleasure of raising their two grown children in Tenants Harbor. The household currently consists of two quirky dogs, two personable cats, and a small flock of chickens. Dr. Yovino spends his spare time fly tying and fly fishing, working around the yard (mostly on his tractor), and participating in GeoVeterinary trips to beautiful developing countries.
